Montgomery County Cancels Events Over Coronavirus

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — Montgomery County has canceled several events planned for the next few weeks as concerns over coronavirus grow.

Montgomery County Planning Commission's "The Course in Community Planning, had been scheduled for March 30, April 6, and April 13. Those events have been canceled and rescheduled for June 8, 15, and 22.

Also among the canceled events is Montgomery County's manufacturing jobs event, Manu-Fest, which had been set to take place Tuesday at the Expo Center in Oaks.

Many parks and historic sites events are canceled in March and April.

Canceled events in March include:

• Montgomery County Planning Commission Board meeting, March 11
• Children's Nature Series: Geology Rocks!, March 12
• Celtic Concert, March 15
• Audubon Bird Town Bird Walk, March 17
• Trout Fishing in the Farm Park, March 21
• Shadows of the Past at Norristown Farm Park, March 22
• Children's Nature Series: Winds and Weather, March 24
• Late March Meandering at Norristown Farm Park, March 29

There are eight cases of coronavirus in Montgomery County, and a total of 14 in Pennsylvania.
