Montgomery County Drug Ring Sold Heroin Called 'Certain Death': Report
The father of a man who died from a heroin overdose provided critical information that led to the arrests.

New details flooded in on Tuesday in the bust of a massive heroin and cocaine trafficking operation in Montgomery County.
The father of a man who had overdosed on heroin and died provided critical information that ultimately led to the busts, the Pottstown Mercury said.
“This is why citizens getting involved is so important. It’s essential,” Montgomery County First Assistant District Attorney Kevin R. Steele said Monday, according to the Mercury.

Some of the heroin itself was labeled ‘Certain Death’, according to the report.
Five men were arrested in the trafficking operation which continued to thrive despite arrests in June.

Investigators were keyed into the activities of the gang when they engaged in mass texts to potential buyers, the DA said.
Montgomery County District Attorney Ferman said opioid addiction is on the rise among youth in Montgomery County and that law enforcement is very aware of the situation.
“(Monday’s) arrests are of individuals servicing a Montgomery County customer base and who profited by setting up their drug business in hotels local to their users,” Ferman said.
The operation was centered in Pottstown, Douglasville, Lower Pottsgrove, and Berks County.
Overall, 1,108 bags of heroin, 109 bags of cocaine, $5,419 in cash, 2 firearms and 12 cell phones were seized by investigators.
Tyrig Darnell Coleman, Martez Eric Cooper, Khaleaf Quinton Lindsay, Ryan Richard Conquest, and Tyrek Waples were the five arrested.
