Montgomery County To Equip First Responders With Anti-Overdose Drug
The county hopes the drug will be able to stop overdoses due to opioids .

Montgomery County announced on Monday that they would be acquiring naloxone for their first responders, an anti-overdose drug that fights and reverses the effects of opioids.
Known as an opioid antagonist, nalaxone fights against drugs like heroin, morphine, oxycodone, methadone, hydrocodone (Vicodin), codeine, and other prescription pain medications.
Some critics say that nalaxone functions as a safety net and empowers users to overdose even more.
