Massive Heroin And Cocaine Ring Busted In Montco
The trafficking operation had continued on even despite arrests of ring members in June.
A massive heroin and cocaine ring was recently busted in Montgomery County using analysis of mass texts, District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman announced on Monday.
Five men were arrested in the trafficking operation which continued to thrive despite arrests in June.
Investigators were keyed into the activities of the gang when they engaged in mass texts to potential buyers, the DA said.

Ferman said opioid addiction is on the rise among youth in Montgomery County and that law enforcement is very aware of the situation.
“Today’s arrests are of individuals servicing a Montgomery County customer base and who profited by setting up their drug business in hotels local to their users,” Ferman said.

The operation was centered in Pottstown, Douglasville, Lower Pottsgrove, and Berks County.
Overall, 1,108 bags of heroin, 109 bags of cocaine, $5,419 in cash, 2 firearms and 12 cell phones were seized by investigators.
Tyrig Darnell Coleman, Martez Eric Cooper, Khaleaf Quinton Lindsay, Ryan Richard Conquest, and Tyrek Waples were the five arrested.
