More Than 1,200 Montgomery Co. PECO Customers Without Power

Breaking: The snowstorm led to hundreds of power outages in Montgomery County as of early Thursday afternoon.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — More than 1,200 PECO customers are without power in Montgomery County, according to outage maps at 2:15 p.m. Thursday.

Heavy snow around the region caused heavy traffic, "hundreds" of accidents, and at least 1,288 outages across Montgomery County.

Restoration times vary from 4:30 p.m. to 6:40 p.m. or much later. Some outages give a specific cause, which is usually downed trees or tree limbs.

Municipalities with significant totals include:

  • Upper Dublin: 526
  • Abington: 380
  • Springfield: 282
  • Cheltenham: 96

Nearby Bucks, Chester, and Delaware counties have combined for a total of 20 outages, thus far.
