More than 12,000 Montgomery County residents are without power as the snowstorm rages on Wednesday afternoon.

The outages are widespread across the county as the area is hit by the second major winter storm over the past week.

A bulk of the outages are concentrated in a few pockets. According to PECO outage maps, Abington has 1,364 outages, Cheltenham 814, Lower Merion 2,864, Upper Moreland 1,870, and Whitemarsh 839.

Several other municipalities around the counties have hundreds of outages as well.

Heavy snow has led to downed wire and tree limbs. The outages are on top of outages that still had not been repaired from last Friday's storm.
