Mydera Robinson Appointed To Vacant Norristown Municipal Council Seat

NORRISTOWN, PA — Norristown appointed its newest councilwoman during a special meeting convened on Thursday night just to fill the post.

Local resident Mydera Robinson, 40, a writer, speaker, educator, and nonprofit leader, will take on the role.

Robinson works as the director of community investment at Theatre Horizon and founded SpeakMeFree Productions, a community-minded arts and entertainment collaborative.

"Her passion and commitment to excellence has in turn allowed her to become a major presence in the regional arts community," her biography on Theatre Horizon's website states. "Acting as an educator, consultant, and board member for a diverse list of schools, universities, organizations, and associations, Mydera Taliah is recognized as a leader in her industry."

Robinson will be in office through Dec. 31, 2025.
