NORRISTOWN, PA — Without community leaders, Norristown wouldn’t hum along nearly as smoothly as it does. We’d miss their contributions in big and small ways.

She's been a staple of the neighborhood for 30+ years.

What does this community leader do?

Mrs. Stevens is a crossing guard. She was my crossing guard as a child and is now crossing the next-generation. She not only keeps us all safe She is always there w open arm to offer a hug or encouraging words. She has been our neighborhood angel for so many years and we all love her alot. She has been honored before by our township for her outstanding work and dedication but she deserves to be recognized on a larger platform.

Why do you believe the community leader should be recognized or honored?

She has protected the children of our community for over 30 years. She has been acknowledged by our township but deserves so much more for her tireless efforts Rain snow or sun.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the community hero?

Even through personal tragedy she has been on that corner every single day there is school smiling and greeting the kids. She has such a beautiful soul. She is our neighborhood mom to everyone.
