Netflix House In KOP Named Among 'World's Greatest Places' By Time
Time Magazine has included the King of Prussia locale on a list alongside resorts in India, caves in Turkey, and museums in Egypt.

KING OF PRUSSIA, PA — The new Netflix House in King of Prussia has been named to Time Magazine's annual list of the "World’s Greatest Places," taking its place next to palace resorts in India, caves in Turkey, and portions of the natural world stretching from Patagonia to Kenya.
The list is wide-ranging, and includes "places" ranging from hotels, cruises, and restaurants to hotels, museums, parks, and more.
Specifically, editors said they kept an "eye toward those offering new, exciting, and relevant experiences."

Something caught their eye in King of Prussia, where Netflix opened its first interactive experience and theatre in the country last November.
“Three VR gaming rooms, a mini golf course inspired by shows like 'Is It Cake?' and 'Bridgerton,' a 229-seat Tudum Theater for screenings and live events, and a stylish restaurant serving dishes and drinks inspired by Netflix productions, like the jumbo ‘Plot Twist’ pretzel or WWE Smashedburger, make Netflix House a bonafide destination," Time wrote in their roundup.

The facility is located on 180 N. Gulph Road in the former Lord and Taylor space.
Alongside Netflix House are places like the Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo, the world's largest museum, the Huajiang Grand Canyon Bridge in Guizhou, China, the world's highest bridge deck, and the Sydney Fish Market in Australia.
Time Magazine has significant financial connections to Netflix, producing and selling numerous documentaries to the streaming giant as well as partnering on major promotional efforts for shows like "Stranger Things."
The magazine has come under fire in the past for focusing these annual lists on gaudy luxury resorts out of the cost range of most of humanity. The list has also been criticized for favoring major corporations, and even including controversial developments, while ignoring more culturally important and worthy destinations.
Time, meanwhile, maintains that their list is determined only by an application process alongside an "international network of correspondents and contributors."
Netflix House is Pennsylvania's lone representative on the list. The Studio Museum in Harlem, New York and the Princeton University Art Museum are the only other locations in the mid-Atlantic region that were included.
