New Cat Shelter, Adoption Center Under Construction In Norristown
The "purpose-built" facility will help the local cat rescue, shelter, adoption center better fulfill its mission.

NORRISTOWN, PA — A cat adoption center and shelter is planning on building a brand new location in Norristown that it says will help it better fulfill its mission.
The new Kitty Cottage Adoption Center, a no-kill, cage free shelter, will be located on 750 Forest Avenue.
"KCAC has significantly expanded its operations from its original location on Dekalb to its current location on Johnson Highway," Jillienne Winther, shelter director, said in a statement. “The current facility was not specifically designed to function as a shelter, which has been challenging at times. To better serve the needs of the cats we rescue and our community, we are embarking on the construction of a new, purpose-built facility designed exclusively for our animal rescue operations."
