New Montco Recovery Community Center To Open In Norristown

The new center will provide recovery support services for individuals and families recovering from substance abuse.

NORRISTOWN, PA — A new community center is opening in Norristown to help provide individuals and families with support as they recover from substance abuse.

The new Montgomery County Recovery Community Center will launch with a grand opening and open house on Thursday, Jan. 16.

The peer-operated center will offer workshops, support groups, resources, and various trainings to help "build recovery capital and sustain long term recovery."

The Center is funded by the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services.

The open house will take place from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., with a ribbon cutting at 1:30 p.m.

Numerous local leaders will attend the event, including Montgomery County Commissioner Val Arkoosh and Council of Southeast Pennsylvania board chair William Wiegman.

The Center is located at 601 DeKalb Street, Suite 1, in Norristown.
