Nick Foles Officially Signs With Jacksonville, Leaving Philly
As rumors indicated, Nick Foles has officially signed with Jacksonville on a four-year, $88 million deal.

PHILADELPHIA, PA — As reports confirmed days ago and as rumors have indicated for weeks, Nick Foles has officially signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars on a four-year, $88 million deal.
The Jaguars confirmed the deal on their social media pages, shortly after NFL's free agency window opened at 4 p.m. Thursday.
The deal with the Jaguars is the largest that Jacksonville has ever given out in their franchise's history.

Foles bid farewell to Philadelphia Wednesday in an emotional letter in The Player's Tribune.
"The truest privilege has been over the last year, in the time since we won the Super Bowl — having Eagles fans share their stories with me," Foles wrote. "Having them remind me of how we didn't just win the Super Bowl; we won the Eagles' first Super Bowl ever. Getting to hear from Philly natives about how their father, or father's father, or mother, or mother's mother, cried tears of happiness after the game. Learning about how, for most people, rooting for the Eagles is more than a decision — it's a birthright."

The Super Bowl MVP who led the Eagles to their first Super Bowl win ever and then an improbable playoff run a year later will be sorely missed by the Eagles, and by the fans who loved him.
A Dec. 2018 Twitter poll by sportswriter John Clark — put out before the Eagles beat the Bears in the first round of the playoffs — asked some 4,100 readers if Foles was the "most beloved Eagle of all-time." A total of 73 percent of respondents said yes.
The reins will now be turned back over to Carson Wentz, who everyone in Philly thought would be earning that title two years ago. Despite being consistently injured, the ultra-talented franchise quarterback is still young, with many years ahead of him to prove himself. But expectations in the post-Foles era will be understandably high.
There can be no bigger shoes to fill, after all, than those of your own legendary backup.
