'No Shave November' Supports Lukens Family After Tragic Fire
The Montgomery Co. Sheriff's Department has raised nearly $2,000 for the family of Deputy Bryan Lukens, who lost his two sons in a fire.

NORRISTOWN, PA — The Montgomery Co. Sheriff's Department has raised nearly $2,000 to support the family of Deputy Bryan Lukens, who lost his two sons in a fire.
Sheriff Sean P. Kilkenny said that the proceeds of the office's annual "No Shave November" charity typically go to a men's health organization, but that this year they decided to do something special.
The Dec. 2017 fire at the Lukens' Schwenksville home, caused by a failed extension cord, led to the death of 11-year-old Bryan and six-year-old Parker. Dep. Lukens, his wife Tracy, and daughter Soffia, 10, were all injured and hospitalized, but survived.

The money raised so far was donated to Camp Millie, a Skippack-based bereavement camp for children which is helping Soffia heal, the Sheriff's Office said.
The concept behind No Shave November is simple: employees must donate $25, $50, or $75 for permission to grow a mustache, goatee, or full beard throughout the month. Straight up donations are also accepted.
