Norristown Applebee's Selling $1 Margaritas This Month
You can get $1 margaritas at Applebee' all month long, the company says.

NORRISTOWN, PA — Throughout October, all Applebee's restaurants will sell margaritas for $1 (the company calls them Dollaritas). The promotion is part of Applebee’s Neighborhood Appreciation Month. You can get the $1 drinks anytime.
The promotion aims to appeal to a younger crowd
When Applebee's in August announced the impending restaurant closures, company President John Cywinski told analysts that the company was trying to appeal to "a more youthful and affluent demographic."

If you're up for a $1 margarita (and maybe some "Riblets"), there is an Applebees at the following locations:
- 555 South Trooper Road, Norristown
- 2710 Dekalb Pike, East Norriton

But officials acknowledge it's really about reminding customers about the "bar" part of their branding: "We focus on our food a lot, but 'bar' is in our name, and it is an integral part of what makes Applebee's a great neighborhood destination," said Patrick Kirk, vice president of beverage innovation. "Our $1 margaritas in October give us a chance to show our guests a little love, giving them a totally unbeatable offer as a gesture of our sincere appreciation for their patronage."
