Norristown Area Artists Featured During Art Trail

The Greater Norristown Art League’s 3^rd annual Art Trail will be held on Saturday, April 28 and Sunday, April 29 form 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The art trail is a unique way to view local artists work, as well as get to know the artist as they open their creative space for the community.

The Art Trail has free admission and is self guided tours, and no reservations are required.

Local artist Janice Mariner Ward will open her 2301 Coles Blvd. studio in East Norriton.  Mariner works in multi-media, including oils, watercolors, stone and papier-mâché. Mariner’s works can also be seen at www.janicemarinerward.com.

Brigida Michopulos DiGenova works in pencils, temperas and oils and will open her 1145 Valley Forge Rd. studio in Norristown. She told the Greater Norristown Art League, “I focus on transporting the viewer inside my painting which makes him a part of this fantastic world of exploration and the magic of realism, the results being a unique personal journey.”

Marlene Serafine Gaudino works in clay and her works can be seen online at www.mirthfulangelpottery.wordpress.com. She will also open her 1301 Valley Forge Rd. studio in Eagleville. She told the Greater Norristown Art League, “My studio is my creative sanctuary where a lump of clay is transformed into a ‘one of a kind’ utilitarian pottery vessel or decorative ceramic sculpture.”

Marsha Goldblatt focuses her work on repurposing vintage jewelry. Her studio, at 3219 Notingham Rd. in East Norriton, will be open during the Art Trail. He jewelry and work can also be found at www.vintagearts.etsy.com.

Ann L. Brennan, works in watercolors, acrylics, pencils and collage. She will open her studio, at 609 Lisa Rd in East Norriton to visitors during the Art Trail. She told the Greater Norristown Art League, “I paint what inspires me. The challenge is to convey to the viewer that inspiration so that they will love the subject as much as I.”

Jennifer Kerper will open her 3012 St. Vincent Rd. studio in East Norriton. Kerper works in precious and semi-precious metals to create contemporary and conceptual jewelry. He work can also be seen online at www.jenniferkerper.com.

Other artists are located in Dresher, Green Lane, Blue Bell, and Ambler.
