The shelter in place order issued after a threat at Norristown Area High School has been lifted.

NORRISTOWN, PA — All students and staff at Norristown Area High School are safe after the school was locked down Wednesday morning due to a threat, officials said.
Students were evacuated from the building after the lockdown "out of an abundance of caution," according to the district. Police responded to the school and assisted in securing the scene.
"Everyone is safe at NAHS," the district said in a statement. "No threats have been found. Staff and students have been amazing in their cooperation and understanding."
