Norristown Arts & Music Festival

End your summer right! FREE Arts & Music Festival at Elmwood Park September 11, 2016 Vendors, Bands, Music and FUN!!!

On September 11, 2016, the Norristown Park and Recreation Center , King of Prussia will host Music for Kids’ Sake 4, at the Fireman’s Memorial Band Shell at Elmwood Park, 1325 Harding Blvd. in Norristown. This is a fourth annual Arts & Music festival which will feature local artisans, five bands, and will benefit Expressive Path. In remembrance of 9/11, there will be a tribute to local fire and police departments.

Music for Kid’s Sake 4 Arts & Music Festival is going to be a bigger and better than last year! There will be a large variety of outstanding music from local circuit bands, Danielle and Jennifer, Civil Discord, Sector 7, Carlos Danger, The Big Unkle. An Expressive Path mentee Conor Conklin will play guitar and an adolescent ensemble Jazz Royale will have the opportunity to start the day off! Rotation Records will be present with a sign-up sheet as audience participation is welcome throughout the day.

Music for Kid’s Sake 4 runs from 1 pm to 8 pm and is a free family event. All proceeds will benefit Expressive Path. Elmwood Park has two playgrounds and for children to enjoy. There will be several vendors to shop at, painting, giveaways and a raffle, including local artwork, salon basket, spirits basket, local restaurants, and much more. Feel free to bring a picnic, coolers, chairs and blankets. There are grills located in the park to barbeque and the park snack bar will be open.

Expressive Path is a non-profit organization whose primary goal is helping adolescents who may not otherwise have the opportunity to participate in the creative arts. Expressive Path instructors provide lessons, workshops, art lectures, and career guidance at local recreation centers, schools, alternative programs, and youth shelters. Expressive Path boosts positive self-esteem by creating opportunities for teens to showcase their art in the community and providing the tools necessary to do so through your donations. Expressive Path is proud to assist teens with funding to further their education in the arts.
