NORRISTOWN, PA — A pair of family members from Montgomery County attacked police officers down the Jersey Shore who were attempting to take them into custody following a bar fight, according to authorities
The incident occurred at the Kix Bar and Sea Isle Inn, located on Landis Avenue, at about 11:17 p.m. on July 25.

As EMS arrived, a relative of McStravog's, Robert McMonagle, 60, of Norristown, "became irate," officials said.
McMonagle tried to push past a cop to get to the people with whom McStravog had been fighting, according to police.

During the ensuing brawl, McMonagle struck an officer in the chest, and then resisted arrest before finally being restrained and taken into custody, police said.
While police were dealing with McMonagle, McStravog left the care of the EMS and attacked another officer who was trying to take McMonagle into custody, police said.
Two Sea Isle City officers were injured. One was taken to the hospital for further treatment, police said.
Both McStravog and McMonagle were charged with numerous counts, including aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest. They were booked at Cape May County Correctional Facility. A preliminary hearing is forthcoming.
