Norristown Citizens’ Leadership Academy Returns

The unique program begins this month.

NORRISTOWN, PA — One of the most unique opportunities for Norristown residents to engage with local government and leadership is returning.

The Citizens’ Leadership Academy, an eight week course that gives residents a chance to learn about the municipality's major decisions from behind the scenes, begins on Feb. 15.

"Ahead of the municipal elections this year — which asks voters to elect their local leaders — the CLA will help inform residents about local government functions, and how elected officials and municipal staff work to support the municipality," organizers shared in a program description. "Each week will have a group project to give a hands-on experience as to what municipal staff work on daily."
