Norristown Fire Department To Add New, $837K Truck

NORRISTOWN, PA — Great news for the Norristown Fire Department: their fleet will soon grow by one.

The new Quint is expected to be complete at some point in August, the department said. Construction began on the engine this month.

The truck is described as a "E One HP 78 Quint on a Typhoon Chassis." It will be able to carry 500 gallons of water.

Officials said the truck costs $837,214. Its covered by the municipality's Capital Improvement Plan.
