Norristown Firefighter Travels To Iceland As Instructor
He also had the chance to meet one of the rescuers from the Thailand cave incident.

NORRISTOWN, PA — A Norristown firefighter traveled to Iceland last week to serve as an instructor at an international conference.
Andrew McIntyre served at the Icelandic Association for Search & Rescue ICE-SAR 2018 in Reykjavik.
While there, he presented a class entitled "Urban Considerations for the Swiftwater Rescue Team," the Norristown Fire Department reports back. He also taught a class on tower rescue.

While there, McIntyre had the chance to meet one of the rescuers from the Thailand cave incident. In his free time, the department said he explored the countryside, and hiked into a glacier.
