Norristown To Host Live Ragtime And Jazz

Students from St. Cecilia Conservatory will play selected works by Scott Joplin, The King of Ragtime and one of America’s first great Black Composers. Musical selections in-clude, “The Entertainer,” “Maple Leaf Rag,” and many other pieces from the modern era. Dolores Ciavola—the owner and director— of St. Cecilia conservatory will also be speaking about Scott Joplin’s life and the era.
