Norristown Lawyer Accused Of Rape Facing New Charges

Court documents show Cirillo is facing felony charges including identity theft.

Norristown attorney Vincent Cirillo Jr., who is facing felony sex abuse crimes, is now facing more charges, according to court documents.

Cirillo, 57, of Narberth, has been charged with felony identity theft; felony conspiracy to commit identity theft; felony forgery; and false impersonation of a privately employed person, court records show.

According to court papers, the offenses occurred on Sept. 21. Cirillo was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Gregory L. Scott on Set. 23 and remanded to the Montgomery County Prison in lieu of $80,000 bail, records show. He is slated to appear before Scott on Sept. 29 for his preliminary hearing.

According to a police affidavit filed against Cirillo, Cirillo posed as his accuser's attorney, Jason Donoghue, in an attempt to gain access to child custody and support documents pertaining to his accuser on Sept. 21 at the Montgomery County Domestic Relations Office.

the affidavit said one employee of the DRO office said she was "100 percent certain" that Cirillo identified himself as Jason Donoghue. Detectives later reviewed security footage of the office and determined Cirillo was in the office with his wife, who the affidavit said was posing as a paralegal.

"The defendant abused his knowledge of the legal system to gain access to otherwise confidential information," the affidavit said. The affidavit went on to accuse Cirillo of attempting to gain information to tarnish his accusers character in an upcoming trial.

Patch reported last year that Cirillo had been charged with raping one of his clients on Aug. 3, 2015. Cirillo, according to court documents, had rape, involuntary sexual deviate intercourse, and falsification charges filed against him in the case.
