NORRISTOWN, PA — A Norristown man has been arrested in connection with a shooting and following volley of gunfire that left one man dead in Pottstown late last month. Three other men remain wanted.
Eric Baker, 26, has been wanted ever since the Oct. 23 killing of Robert Stiles, the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office said. He was taken into custody Nov. 3 on aggravated assault and firearms counts, officials said last week.
The incident occurred at around 8:30 p.m. that evening on the 400 block of E. High St. Video surveillance from the area shows several men gathered together. One of them, Samir Bentley, 20, of Philadelphia, is shown firing three shots directly at Stiles, who falls to the ground, the DA said.

Days after the incident, police attempted to stop Baker while he was driving a Toyota 4-Runner in Pottstown, they said. However, he was able to elude capture, fleeing eastbound on Route 422, according to the DA.
He was arrested later that day, Nov. 3, without incident inside a Norristown home.
Baker was booked at Montgomery County Correctional Facility on $1 million cash bail, which he did not post.
