Norristown Man Sped 95 MPH In 25 MPH Zone In Fatal Crash: DA
The man, who was high, was going 70 miles an hour over the posted speed limit, officials said.

NORRISTOWN, PA — A Norristown man was high on marijuana when he sped at 95 miles per hour in a 25 mile per hour zone, killing one person and severely injuring three others, the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office said.
Allan Tariq Cole, 22, of Norristown, has been charged with homicide by vehicle, aggravated assault, and numerous other counts.
The incident occurred on June 1 at around 10:35 a.m. near the intersection of DeKalb Street and Basin Street in Norristown.

Cole's BMW slammed into a Kia driven by the victim, Mahilamandiram Chiku, sending the Kia flying into a pole 101 feet away, officials said.
Chiku was pronounced dead at the scene. His wife was severely injured, and their two young children were hospitalized, according to the DA.

Blood tests on Cole confirmed the marijuana in his system at the time of the crash, police said.
Cole and the two passengers in his vehicle were also injured, taken to Einstein Montgomery Hospital for further treatment.
Cole was taken into custody on June 26 following the investigation. He was booked at Montgomery County Correctional Facility after failing to post $99,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is set for Aug. 8.
