Norristown Man Who Used Knife in Assault Sentenced to Prison
A Norristown man who used a knife in an assault has convicted of aggravated assault in the knife incident, officials said.

NORRISTOWN, PA -- A Norristown man has been sentenced to prison after using a knife to attack a man last July, according to court documents.
Evelio Morales-Vargas, 20, of the 600 block of Chain Street, was convicted after pleading guilty to aggravated assault, documents show.
Morales-Vargas will spend the next nine to 23 months in jail.

The incident occurred on July 20 as the unidentified victim was leaving his home on the 500 block of Haws Avenue, the Times Heraldreports.
When Morales-Vargas was arrested, the victim identified him as the attacker. He was also sentenced to seven years of court supervision.
