Norristown-Montgomery Co. Library Gets Major $750,000 Grant

The historic facility and centerpiece of the Montgomery County library system is getting a major overhaul.

NORRISTOWN, PA — A $750,000 grant has been awarded for major renovations to the Montgomery County-Norristown Public Library.

The state funding will cover a variety of work on the facility, including new restrooms, a renovated entryway, and structural, mechanical, and accessibility improvements.

“Libraries are places where people of all ages can learn, connect, and become more engaged in their community,” State Rep. Greg Scott, who advocated for the funding, sai in a statement. “The Montgomery County-Norristown Library embodies that mission and much more, serving residents throughout the county. It’s only right that we give back and help make this space an even greater home for our youth, our seniors, and our entire community.”
