Norristown Native Cam Reddish, 19, Declares For NBA Draft

The Duke University star and Norristown native is leaving school for the NBA.

NORRISTOWN, PA — Norristown native and Duke University star Cam Reddish is leaving school for the NBA, he announced on Thursday.

Reddish made the announcement in an Instagram post, just days following the top-seeded Blue Devils' elimination from the NCAA Tournament.

"This season was epic, and I am so thankful to have had Duke as a part of the foundation that prepared me to play at the next level," he wrote. "Never forget – I am a Blue Devil for life. Proud to announce that I will be entering the 2019 NBA Draft."

The 218-pound 6 foot, 8 inch forward averaged 13.5 points and nearly 30 minutes a game for the Blue Devils this season as part of a powerful group of freshmen that put the team among the nation's elite.

Reddish attended West Chester's Westtown School, and his career was the subject of a Sports Illustrated TV documentary, "We Town."
