Norristown Opening New Recreation Center
This weekend, take a tour of the brand new Norristown Recreation Center, opening up to the public for the first time.
NORRISTOWN, PA — The highly anticipated new Norristown Recreation Center is ready to be unveiled to the public.
A grand opening event for the municipality's new rec center will take place on Saturday, Dec. 7 at 10 am.
Some highlights of the event will include a site tour, giveaways, light refreshments, some kids activities, and even a visit from Santa Claus.

The project, which has been underway for years, has a large basketball court and gymnasium as its centerpiece, featuring hardwood floors and four hoops.

The borough is also organizing a youth winter basketball league (details below), as well as a recreation soccer clinic, and much more.
This Saturday, the Center will be open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Regular hours of 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. will commence on Monday, Dec. 10.
Children aged 11 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
The new center is located on 1101 Harding Boulevard in Norristown.
