Norristown Plans City Wide Sweep Of Trash With Free Dumpsters

Norristown officials hope the event gives its streets a makeover.

NORRISTOWN, PA — Free dumpsters will be set up around Norristown this week as part of a free city-wide sweep clean up event.

The biannual event will be held on May 3.

J.P. Mascaro and Sons will provide a dozen, 30-cubic yard dumpsters for residents to discard bulk trash, old furniture, and other non-electronic and non-hazardous waste.

Dumpsters will be in the following locations:

  • Municipal Hall (235 E. Airy Street)
  • Corson and Marshall streets
  • Haws Avenue and Marshall Street
  • Haws Avenue and Washington Street
  • Buttonwood and Elm streets
  • Pine and Fornance streets
  • Guardino Park (1200 block of West Lafayette Street)
  • Roberts Street (Norris Hills)

Electronic waste can be disposed of separately at these county-run events.
