Norristown Police Investigating Pair Of Weekend Shootings

Two shootings occurred in Norristown over the weekend, and authorities are investigating.

NORRISTOWN, PA — Police are investigating a pair of shootings that occurred in the borough over the weekend.

The first incident occurred on July 16 at around 12:46 p.m. on the 1000 block of DeKalb Street, police said.

The victim, a 22-year-old male, had a graze wound to his abdomen, according to authorities. He was taken to Mercy Suburban Hospital for treatment.

A second incident occurred on the first block of West Marshall Street at 9:51 p.m. when a group of teenagers was throwing rocks as several passerby, police said. Police pursued the teens and captured one.

A third incident occurred at the same location at 11:43 p.m. A 40-year-old man was shot in the left leg, police said, and treated at Paoli Hospital.
