Norristown Runners Set For Broad Street 10 Miler

Broad Street in Philadelphia is the longest continuous street in the entire United States. The Broad Street Run, a 10 mile road race that runs from North Philadelphia to the Navy Yard below the stadiums, is fittingly one of the largest and fastest road races in the entire world.

This year, some 40,000 odd runners from the Delaware Valley and around the globe will take part in the run.

236 of them will be from Norristown.

Last year, 16-year-old John Maxey led the way for Norristown, placing 307th overall with a time of 1:03:20.
