Norristown Sets Attendance Policy For Eagles Super Bowl Parade

Norristown officials addressed Thursday's attendance policy in advance of the Eagles' Super Bowl parade.

NORRISTOWN, PA — Kids in the Norristown Area School District may have been guilty of a false start this week if they thought they would get out of school for the Eagles Super Bowl victory parade in Philadephia.

In a statement issued on Tuesday afternoon, Superintendent Janet C. Samuels said that unlike other area school districts, Norristown students will not have a day off.

"It is with excitement that we acknowledge the Eagles winning their first Super Bowl. We recognize this historic victory and understand the euphoria that has permeated our schools and the broader region," she wrote. "Although we proudly celebrate the Eagles and their Super Bowl victory, all schools will be open on Thursday...during the normal instructional day."
