Here's what's happening for kids at Montgomery County-Norristown Public Library

ALL CHILDREN’S PROGRAMS ARE FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED, EXCEPT WHERE NOTED.
We suggest you arrive early to guarantee admission. Doors will close and a sign will be posted on the door to the Children’s Learning Center when maximum capacity for each program has been reached. Programs begin on time.
Children under age 8 must be accompanied by an adult.
Monday, October 3
Fall Craft – 2:00 pm – Help us decorate our bulletin board! Make Indian corn decorations that we will put on our fall display (or you can take one home). For kids in grades K-6. Norristown area schools no-school day. Drop in.
Mondays through December 12
KidsMake – 4:00 pm – Create, explore, build, discover! Fun activities including crafts, building, robots, experiments, cooking, technology, and more! An entertaining way to introduce kids to STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math). Class size limited to 15. For kids in grades 1-3. Drop in.

Tuesdays through December 13
Pre-K Adventures – 10:30 am – Seasonal activities aimed at developing pre-K skills, with stories, crafts, fun movement songs, and parachute team work which develops cooperation, sharing, and taking turns. For ages 3-5 with a caregiver. Drop in.
Tuesdays through December 13
RoboCode – 4:30 pm – Hands-on learning with some of the hottest technology! Using our new iPad apps and robots Dash and Dot, kids will learn to code through fun projects and puzzles. Class size limited to 15. For kids in grades 3-6. Drop in.

Homework Helpers – 5:00 pm – Bilingual volunteers are available to help students with homework. For kids in grades K-6. Drop in.
Wednesdays through December 14
Baby Lap Rap – 10:30 am - Simple stories, new and traditional songs, shaker eggs and rhythm sticks for your baby and you! Flannelboard rhymes and props will help your child learn and play with Mother Goose rhymes. Ages 0-24 months with a caregiver. Drop in.

Creepy Cooking – 2:00 pm – Join us to make some gruesome grub and frightening food, in time for Halloween. For kids in grades K-6. Norristown area schools no-school day. Class size is limited.
Thursdays through December 15
Toddler Tickle Tales – 10:30 am – Stories, songs, rhymes, and activities for young preschoolers. Ages 2 to 3 with a caregiver. Drop in.

Twilight Tales – 7:00 pm – Family storytime! Our activities will be a mixture of fun and learning with stories, songs and an occasional craft and parachute play. For ages 0-7 with a caregiver. Drop in.
Saturday, October 8
LEGO + - 10:30 am - Create and build using a variety of great materials for the budding engineer: LEGO, K’Nex, Straws & Connectors, and more! For children entering grades K-6—children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Drop in.
Saturday, October 15
Roll Over and Read! – 11:00 am-1:00 pm – Elementary age kids read to specially trained dogs. For kids entering grades K-6. Drop in.
Friday, October 21
Halloween Fun – 2:00 pm – Come for some holiday themed activities and crafts. For kids in grades K-6. Norristown area schools no-school day. Drop in.
