NORRISTOWN, PA — For the fourth time in as many years, Norristown is putting together a search committee to find a new chief of police, even as questions linger over the mysterious departure of the most recent chief.
Former Norristown Police Chief Jacqueline Bailey-Davis, who took over on Jan. 1., 2024, was put on administrative leave during the fall without any reason provided to the public.
Weeks later, Bailey-Davis, who was the first woman to ever hold the position, resigned.
