Shooting At King Of Prussia Mall: Serial Robber Injured, Cops Say

Breaking: An armed robbery suspect was injured at the King of Prussia Mall on Sunday afternoon.

KING OF PRUSSIA, PA — An armed man who is reportedly described as a "serial robbery suspect" was shot by police at the King of Prussia Mall on Sunday afternoon, police and mall officials confirmed.

The incident was first reported at 4 p.m. in a parking lot near Lord and Taylor's and the Court at King of Prussia, according to MontcoPA Active Incidents.

The garage is located just off of Gulph Road and Kirk Avenue.

A spokesperson for Simon Malls, the owner of the King of Prussia Mall, said that the mall is cooperating with Upper Merion police in the wake of the incident.

"Due to the swift action of the Upper Merion PD the situation was contained, the suspect apprehended and no customers or employees were harmed," a mall spokesperson said.

The shooting comes just a day after a woman was robbed by a man at gunpoint in the Green Deck Parking Garage at the mall. Police have not yet confirmed if there is a connection.

NBC 10 reports that the victim was rushed to the hospital. Further circumstances of the shooting and the condition of the victim are not yet known.

Upper Merion police and the Lafayette Ambulance Squad were among the first responders on the scene.

Nearby roads were closed as the scene was investigated.
