Philly Area On The Cusp Of Summer As 80 Degree Temps Arrive
Sunny skies and summerlike weather are on tap this week in southeastern PA, but there could still be a thunderstorm. What to know:
PHILADLEPHIA, PA — After weeks of topsy turvy temperatures, rain, and thunderstorms, the greater Philadelphia area will get a bit of a break this week, as summer temperatures are on the way.
After a cloudy start Tuesday, blue skies and golden sunshine will be seen all along the way from Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday. Tuesday will see a high of 74, while Wednesday could approach the 80s.
The National Weather Service's Mt. Holly station heralded the shift in weather Tuesday morning.

Some showers are possible again Thursday, and there could even be a thunderstorm in the afternoon. But sunny skies and 80-degree weather will return later in the afternoon, and the clear weather will be back on Friday too.
