Rainstorm Timeline In Philly Area Thursday
Up to a quarter inch of precipitation could fall on a wet Thursday, forecasters said, but a picturesque weekend may be on tap.
SOUTHEASTERN PA — A rainy Thursday looks to be on tap for much of the greater Philadelphia area, according to the National Weather Service, with up to a quarter inch of precipitation set to fall primarily during the daytime hours.
Showers are likely to continue up until around 3 p.m., forecasters said. But don’t keep your fingers crossed for a hint of sunshine in the afternoon, as forecasters expect overcast skies all day with cooler temperatures in the low 70s.
"Scattered showers will continue to hang around until this afternoon when drier air starts to intrude," the National Weather Service's Mt. Holly station shared. "Highs today will only reach the low 70s, but you should take a quick little peek at that weekend forecast."
