Multiple Chances For Rain, Thunderstorms In Philly Area: See Timeline

EASTERN PA — There are several chances for rain and even a few thunderstorms this week in the greater Philadelphia area, as the region is likely to see mostly warm spring temperatures for the first week of May, the National Weather Service said.

The first chance will come Tuesday night, with a 70 percent likelihood of rainfall in the evening. There's also a chance of thunderstorms after 5 p.m., and rainfall could be more intense in local areas where they hit.

Rain and thunderstorms could return Wednesday, the weather service says, with a 60 percent likelihood of up to a tenth of an inch. Again, higher amounts are possible where there are thunderstorms.

There's a slight chance of rain late Thursday night, with precipitation more likely during hte day on Friday, according to forecasters. Rain could continue all the way into early Saturday.
