Several Days Of Rain, Thunderstorms Head To Philly Area: NWS
As the region greets the official first day of summer, several days of rain and thunderstorms are on tap.
PHILADELPHIA, PA —Three straight days of rain with the possibility of multiple rounds of thunderstorms are in the forecast this week for southeastern Pennsylvania, according to the National Weather Service.
The first chance of rain will come Tuesday night, with a slight chance before 10 p.m. and then again before 1 a.m., forecasters said.
Rain may return Wednesday morning, but the more likely scenario is heavy rain with thunderstorms between noon and 3 p.m., the National Weather Service said. Up to a quarter of an inch will fall, and even more, localized precipitation is possible in thunderstorms.

Rain will continue into the evening, and thunderstorms are possible on and off again throughout the day on Thursday, according to the forecast.
