Rainstorms To Hit Philly Area On St. Patrick's Day: Timing, Details

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Two rounds of rain are likely to hit southeastern Pennsylvania on Thursday, potentially disrupting St. Patrick's Day plans later in the day.

Rain is likely to begin consistently after 2 p.m. Thursday, with up to a quarter of an inch falling in the afternoon.

Precipitation is forecasted to continue until around 8 p.m., with another tenth of an inch of rain accumulating, according to the National Weather Service.

"Heaviest rain mostly south and east of I-95," the National Weather Service said. Localized fog is also possible.

As the rain moves out, sun and warmth are on the way for Friday, with a high of 74.
