Philadelphia's Flyers even NHL playoff series with Pittsburgh.

Flyers even series at 1-1against the defending Stanley Cup Champion Pittsburgh Penguins. Game three is Sunday at Philadelphia at 3 p.m.

It's tough when you are down 1-0 in a series to the defending Stanley Cup Champions. The Philadelphia Flyers didn't let it bother them Friday night as they evened the series at a game apiece with a 5-1 win at Pittsburgh.

Goalie Brian Elliott had a key game for the Flyers with 34 saves and Sean Couturier had a goal and two assists as the series is now a five-game series with game three being Sunday at Philadelphia at 3 p.m Eastern Time. The game is being televised live by NBC.

Flyers coach Dave Hakstol complimented his team following Friday night's triumph over the defending champs.

"Said it coming in, nobody is really giving us a serious chance in this series." he said. "I don't know if anybody still will. I do know this, we've got it down to a five-game series and we introduced ourselves into this series (Friday)."
