Phillies currently 16-12 on the young season

The club trails Atlanta by a half-game for second place in the NL East and the Division-leading New York Mets by two games for first place

After winning 14 of 18 games and having a 15-8 record, the Phillies have lost three in a row and f0ur of five games and are currently 16-12, two games behind the Division leading New York Mets and a half-game behind second-place Atlanta.

Philadelphia was just 66-96 all of last season.

The Phils are batting just .232 on the young season, which is 24th in all of Major League Baseball. Centerfielder Odubel Herrera leads the team with a .343 batting average and leftfielder Rhys Hoskins has played well, hitting .303 with four homeruns and 19 RBI.

Aaron Nola leads the team in pitching with three wins and a team-low 2.58 E.R.A.

The Phillies play the Miami Marlins at Miami on Tuesday after losing to them 8-4 on Monday. They complete the series with Miami on Wednesday and then play a three-game series at Washington before getting home to host the San Francisco Giants and the Mets, respectively, in a seven-game homestand.
