Baseball fans in the city of brotherly love will get their first look at the Phillies playing a home game this season on Thursday as they open their home season against the Miami Marlins. The Phillies are 1-4 on the young 2018 baseball season while Miami is 2-4.
Philadelphia was 66-96 last season, last in the National League East, while Miami was 77-85, also in the National League East, good for second place.
The Phillies will open with pitcher Caleb Smith on the mound while Miami will counter with Nick Pivetta.

It was back in 2008 that the Phillies were the champions of Major League baseball, winning the World Series.
The game begins at 3:05 p.m. Eastern Time at Citizens Bank Park and is being televised by NBC10 in Philadelphia.
