Philly Metro Wildlife Care Center Launches New Home In KOP

Great news: the new center will help rehabilitate and care for orphaned and injured animals in the region.

A wildlife care organization has opened its doors at a new home in King of Prussia.

The Philadelphia Metro Wildlife Center will help rehabilitate and care for orphaned and injured animals in the region.

The conservation nonprofit, headquartered at 400 DeKalb Pike, is staffed with a licensed rehabilitation team and more than 60 volunteers.

"The Philadelphia Metro Wildlife Center preserves a future for Pennsylvania's wildlife through rescue, rehabilitation and education," according to their mission statement.

Several rescues have already been reported since they moved into their new space on April 5, including a Great Horned Owl chick, a baby squirrel, and a juvenile red-tailed hawk.

The Center said that they are the only facility treating injured and orphaned wildlife in the greater Philadelphia area.

Anyone in the area is encouraged to report injured wildlife to (267) 416-9453. They are open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. seven days a week.
