Police Activity Shuts Down Dannehower Bridge In Norristown Monday

NORRISTOWN, PA — Norristown's Dannehower Bridge was shut down Monday afternoon for police activity, and it's not yet clear why.

The bridge, which covers 202 between Bridgeport and Norristown, was closed in both directions due to the unknown emergency.

Montgomery County Active Incidents reported that water rescue crews were in the Schuylkill at the same time, but it's not yet clear if that had any relation to the closure, or what the relation was.

Traffic was backed up from shortly after 4 p.m. to just before 5 p.m.
