Police are asking for the public's help after a Bridgeport home was broken into, a resident was tied up and beaten, and items were stolen.
The incident occurred on Monday, June 6 at 5 a.m. near 5th and Ford Streets, police said.
A resident told police that he heard a noise outside his bedroom, and when he opened the door, he saw a 6'0 tall man with a black mask standing there.

The suspect fled when the resident confronted him.
Before that, the suspect had hit the resident's brother in the head and tied him up, according to police.

The suspect fled east on 5th Street toward Ford Street.
