Pope Speech Tickets Sell Out Within Minutes

Sounds like people are excited for this speech.

Within minutes of becoming available, tickets to see Pope Francis speak at Independence Hall sold out.

Tickets were made available at noon on Tuesday afternoon, and after just a few minutes, the page on the World Meeting of Families website already said the tickets were unavailable.

There were 10,000 first come, first serve tickets available for the speech which will begin at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 26.

Tickets are required for a entry to a closed-off area that is closest to where the pope will be speaking from. However, visitors will still be able to get within a few blocks of the Pope without a ticket.

The Pope’s speech at Independence Hall, entitled “We Hold These Truths,” is one of the most highly anticipated events scheduled for his visit. The speech is expected to focus on immigration and religious freedom.
