Powerful Fire Erupts In Norristown Early Monday

Firefighters battled back a roaring blaze overnight.

NORRISTOWN, PA — A powerful fire erupted in Norristown just after midnight Monday in a storage building attached to an apartment complex, authorities said.

The incident began at around 12:20 a.m. on the 1000 block of North Hills Drive.

Firefighters arriving on the scene attacked the blaze from the roof of the building, while moving throughout the apartment building and helping residents get to safety.

Footage from the scene was posted online showing responders attacking the aggressive flames.

Crews were able to restrict the damage before the fire spread to the apartment complex.
