MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — As the death toll in Gaza continues to mount, activists in Montgomery County will hold another protest Friday calling for an end to the violence.

The event will take place at Lockheed Martin in King of Prussia at 3 p.m. Lockheed is a key contractor for the Department of Defense, and due to American military resources and spending funding Israel's offensive, it has found itself targeted by pro-Palestine protesters who say it is complicit.

Organizers hope the event brings general attention of residents and other area organizations to the genocide.

"Our work is rooted in our deep disapproval of our country's overly militarized foreign policy," organizer Alexandra Norpel told Patch.

Norpel's group, Montco for Liberation, has organized similar protests elsewhere. At one in Blue Bell, counter-protesters threatened the protesters with violence.

"One of the counter-protesters was wielding a golf club and yelling racist threats," Norpel said, noting that it's trend faced by pro-Palestine movements across the country.

The group said that their Lockheed event on Friday will also be a remembrance of Aaron Bushnell, the U.S. Air Force member who self-immolated in front of the Israeli embassy in Washington D.C. earlier in February.

The group plans to meet at the intersection of Goddard Boulevard and Conrad Drive. They say all their events are peaceful.

More than 100 Palestinians were killed when Israeli soldiers opened fired on a group of aid trucks that were delivering food to refugees in Gaza on Thursday, according to The Guardian. It's brought increased international attention to the Israeli government's actions in Gaza, which have left tens of thousands of civilians, including thousands of children, dead.

Montco for Liberation has partnered with numerous other organizations for the protest, including the Philly Palestine Coalition, Lancaster Palestine Coalition, Philly Chapter of American Muslims for Palestine, CAIR Philadelphia, BuxMont DSA, Party for Socialism and Liberation, NEPA for Palestine, and the Abandon Biden Campaign.

They will hold another rally on March 8 at Railroad Plaza in Lansdale, at 1 p.m.
